Tartini Front View

I have been searching for a while for some great Pizza in our city. And yes we have some good places for Pizza in this town, but do we have “great” places for pizza? That’s a good question. And it’s hard for me to answer, because I have had great Pizza before like Pepe’s and Sally’s in New Haven, CT on Wooster St, and it does not get better than that. Well maybe Modern Apizza in New Haven, that’s always a big debate in that city. But for Florida standards or Orlando standards I have found a good pizza place worth recommending. I am talking about Tartini Pizzeria & Spaghetteria. When you walk in all the décor and equipment looks new, smells new, and it looks semi upscale, it’s a very modern looking restaurant. However, this place pumps out some very high quality pizzas. In my opinion it starts and stops with the oven. I was told this was a one of kind pizza oven that was imported from Italy, and yes it cost a small fortune. This also tells me quickly Tartini takes pizza pie making very seriously. Back to the oven, the pizza is cooked in a wood fired oven. One of the manager’s told me the oven could produce a fully cooked pizza less than a minute and a half. That’s getting it done! That’s a smoking hot wood fired oven.
On my first visit I had the Pizza Diavola. The Diavola comes with hot soprasata, pepperoni and cherry peppers. This was a great pizza, the crust was cooked to the requested crispy. The spicy Italian meats blended well with the spicy Italian cherry peppers, with the sweet sauce and Italian cheeses. This pizza did not disappoint.

I wanted to try this place again because I wanted to be truly sold on their pizzas. So my next visit I tried the Pizza Margherita. This pizza came with sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. This pizza again was cooked to the requested crispy. The combination of the tomatoes, cheese, and basil made this pizza highly delightful.
Service was good on both visits. Parking was tight but manageable.
Overall, Tartini makes a good pizza! Give it a try!
