News Flash! Its official! Shake Shack is coming to town!
Shake Shack sprouted from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan created by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). The cart was quite the success, with Shack Fans lined up daily for three summers.
In 2004, USHG won the bid to open a permanent kiosk in the Park: Shake Shack was born. This modern day “roadside” burger stand serves up the most delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, shakes, beer, wine and more. And they expanded to several select cities in the US. Currently Florida has 3 locations all based in South Florida. There is one in Coral Gables across the street from the University of Miami, another in South Beach, and another in Boca. The Winter Park location will become the 4th.
Here is the quote from Shake Shack’s Facebook Page:
“Hello friends, this summer heat has us thinking about FLA. So we’re announcing that Shake Shack is Winter Park, Florida bound in mid 2014. The Shack will be situated lakeside next to beautiful Lake Killarny and at the intersection of N. Orlando Avenue and West Morse Blvd. See you in the sun!”
Below is the faboulous Shake Shack’s Cheese Burger and Fries photo I took from the Coral Gables location.
