It has taking me a very long time to find a very good Chinese restaurant in Orlando. Well, I believe I have found one that I am happy with and would highly reccomend. Its a small place. It only seats maybe 10 tables or less. Its a mom and pop only set up. I only see 1 lady taking orders and serving. I guess she is the mom? And I guess pop is back there whipping on great Chinese classics! I really don’t know how this lady does it all up front but she figures it out.
On my recent visit I started off with the Hot n Sour soup. It was light in color and flavorful and just about the right amout of heat. Not the best Hot n Sour I have ever had but it was good. I then tried the Roast Pork with fried rice with no eggs ( my choice). The roast pork was so tender you cut it with a fork. It was seasoned just right. I loved the vegetables it was cooked with; the onions, peppers, mushrooms, fresh garlic, brocoli all married together with the tender roast pork, wow what a wonderful dish. Would I order this again? That would be a YES! I also had the fried rice and an egg roll.
On another visit I ordered Chicken with Black Bean sauce. This is another dish I really liked. Chicken was tender, mixed up with vegetables in a dark flavorful dark sauce.
I also tried on another visit the beef and tomotoes. The beef was tender, and it was loaded with big chucks of stewed type tomatoes in a dark asian sauce.
If Chinese American is not your thing that’s ok! This place also has a real authetic Shanghai menu items as well. Its really like 2 menus in one with Chinese American classics and authentic Chinese dishes. How many local restaurants do you see in Orlando that has both?
