One morning recently I was at the Orlando International Airport. I was early for my flight and I wanted some coffee. In my terminal I  noticed a small cuban style restaurnt called Zaza. I went over and grabbed some coffee and really did not think much about the place. The coffee was, well, it was coffee. A few days later, I found myself rushing for a quick bite to eat in Altamonte Springs, and tore up a sub in a matter of minutes. I walked  out of the sub shop after already eaten and noticed Zaza New Cuban Diner  directly next door to this subshop, and I said to myself how in the heck did I miss this place? I don’t believe the airport Zaza is related to the one in Altamonte.  So after seeing the name Zaza at the airport and after accidentially literally running into it in Altamonte, my senses said I need to go back and try this place. So I did and I am glad I did.

I stopped by during lunch. I opted for the 1/2 Sandwich Combo $8.95. It comes with 1 side and a soft drink. I opted for half of a Cubano and red pinto beans. The Cuban sandwich a timeless classic was prepared with fresh roast pork, deli ham, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles on toasted fresh Cuban bread. This sandwich was really good! I felt I was down in Miami in Little Havana. I also loved the Pinto Beans. It was almost like a thick soup of beans. They came out piping out, beans were well seasoned up and flavorful.

More about Zaza. You walk in and place your order at the counter. After you pay, they give you a number. Then the server brings out your meal to your table. Plenty of parking is available (thats always nice!).  Zaza Altamonte is located around the 436/434 Forest City Rd area next to Sports Authority. According to their website they have 2 locations. Zaza Curry Ford and Zaza Altamonte . They are open for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Web address is www.zazacubandiner.com
